My MEST Mk 1 cable has bit the dust, anyone got recommendations for a replacement, preferably a little more lightweight and flexible for portable use, I take it the connector needs to be QDC?
Had a chance to compare Mest MK II with Mentor and Omnium, for me Mest all the way, the speed, detail, resolution and soundstage imho goes for the Mest, like DD driver more instead of ba but that is me.
Any way to repair cracks in the carbon fiber shells of MEST? I noticed that mine has cracks along the edges of faceplate (dont know why and it seems that it developed without any physical shock to the unit) and I wonder if it will propagate. Has anyone experience the same issue?

I would send them to UM as their customer support is excellent...
I sent my Mest OG to them last year and got flush 2 pin sockets fitted instead of the QDC style and a full refurbishment (free campaign at the time) which didn't take too long The change to flush sockets was a cost option but not too sure if they still do it.
May I ask your thoughts about the Indigo vs. MKIII?
Heard them both, but contrary to what others say, the difference between them is more apparent for me - Indigo is a bit more brighter while MKIII on the warmer side.
