To me they sound very similar on the Mest MkII. However the spiral dots++ are much more comfortable. The overall signature to me with the dots and the Xelastec is a little thin, more tin like. I know others have had diff experiences but for me it was this way (with Mest mk1 the Xelastec sounded best tho! Which is why, one must experiment.) When using spinfits I had a completely diff experience. Signature was full, engaging and dynamic. Bass and treble both articulate and musical, the mids were warm and natural and the timbre was near natural but not the best I’ve heard. All of this, coming from my ears........ And that is the caveat! We all have different ears. Sound signature will always vary person to person, tip to tip, etc. I hope this helps somehow Dont stop experimenting! -JHas anyone tried Spiral Dot++ tips on the UM Mest Mk2? If yes — could you please share your overall impressions and vs. Xelastec, especially re: impact on sound (if any).
