There are two versions, the one that is distributed in the USA and Europe, which is the one you have, and the special HK edition, which is the green one.

Actually, there appears to be 3 versions:

• The common US and international version, made from stabilized wood and resin (blue), sold by MusicTeck.
• The green one (Hong Kong special?), found on the official UM website, made from stabilized wood only (no resin).
• A blue one sold in Poland by AudioTOP, made from stabilized wood only (no resin).

I am really interested in whether anyone has compared the common one (mixed with resin) to it's stabilized wood only counterparts to see if there are any discernible audio differences?

I think looking at all three ( and having owned the Blue and the Green versions) that all are made the same way - its just the colour mixing that differs. I can detect no real difference in general tone, dynamics and timbre between the two types I have when used as a pair. There are very minute differences if I mix and match Blue and Green, but I'd put that down to driver tolerances and matching rather than a change in driver/shell parameters.

Filters that came with my Moondrop Starfield that I purchased at the start of my journey down the rabbit hole...

I believe they can be purchased on AliExpress. I think they are also the same filters that are used on the KXXS.

I'm not. The Traillii is well ahead but the 3DT does perform beyond its price point (with the modification). I haven't heard the original MEST or the Solaris, sorry.

I went from a Copper-Silver hybrid to Penon Leo Plus and have no further desire to cable roll.

never heard a sound change through cable rolling when not dammaged. Changes occur on reinserting the iem in the ear most probably. I am using soft cable from IV music store (aliexpress); the small graphene. For 3dt, best tips for me (and agreed by others on a french discord) are from the DT6pro **** paired with RU6 dongle.

horizontal lines are from manufacturer, they are normal and not cracking. Cracks are mostly vertical like most others qdc low cost iem (KZ, TRN)

I just got 2 new cables from Effect Audio - their new Signature series. I've been testing them on the MEXT and will roll them onto my 3DT and report back. I have been using a Copper Silver Hybrid (not SPC) from XINHS and have been quite happy with it. The stock cable is not worthy of the 3DT. I'll post a few impressions later with a few pics.
