MEST is amazing, I owned one for 8 months, traded it for some cans and instantly regretted it.Love my 3DT. It's like I'm living inside the music rather than just listening to it. Even my open back planars don't create this effect.
Just bought MEST OG. Wish me luck.

Yes, I use Spiral dots too, love them!I've always used my 3DT with foam tips, even though I generally prefer silicon tips, because I simply could not find a set of silicon tips that worked for me with the 3DT. I always had that complete "suction" sensation - no bass, no soundstage, just obviously messed up sound. Yesterday I got a package of original style JVC Spiral Dots and put a pair on the 3DT, and it's utter bliss.
Bass is tighter, more forward, and has more impact compared to what I've experienced on the 3DT when using them with foam tips. And with the bass more prominent, it makes the lower treble peak less prominent by comparison, which makes the whole package even more suited to my tuning preferences.
3DT are definitely my favorite IEMs. Maybe not surprising because they're the most expensive set I own. I'm just thankful that they've lived up to expectations.
They run large, tho, what size did you get?I've got some SpiralDots in the mail somewhere between me and Penon Audio, really looking forward to trying them out with 3DT!!
Yeah, I've read that, so I ordered M and MS from Penon as part of their 3-fer offer. I use M in Final E's or Sedna's, so I figured a fraction smaller for the Spiral Dots might be a good place to start, will update when I get them...They run large, tho, what size did you get?
You should be fine. My left ear is actually larger, so I use L on left and ML on R...They sit snug as a bug.Yeah, I've read that, so I ordered M and MS from Penon as part of their 3-fer offer. Hmm ok. Y’all have me curious
3DT should be arriving soon, excited to try it with P6Pro.

Been reading reviews and I am this close to buying 3DT, however can my M3X drive these without an issue? I only have that and nw-a25, any input will be appreciated.
Tbh, I am torn with moondrop b2 and 3DT.

I have just sold the B2, keeping the 3DT.Been reading reviews and I am this close to buying 3DT, however can my M3X drive these without an issue? I only have that and nw-a25, any input will be appreciated.

The 3DT is very easy to drive and not picky about the source. 3DT sounds grande, very dynamic and engaging. B2 is much more mid centric, a little boring, has a smaller stage. Better detail though.
I feel the 3DT is more special, the B2 is very good at the price but overall a little bland. If your library is very vocal focused the B2 might be better, especially with male vocals.
For classical music or EDM I think the 3DT is better.
Hope that helps
