Hi guys, Im newbie about this and i have question regarding this. I asked around some say that i may not connect 3.5mm headphone jack using adapter to 4.4mm amplifier output. Some say this might break the equipment by short circuit. Is this true? What is your opinion about this?

Edit: Did i post this in the wrong thread? How to move?

It'll short the amp if you plug single end headphones into a balanced connector. You can do it the other way around though. It's the lack of ground wire that causes it to harm the amplifier.

So it is true... But what if someone selling balanced to unbalanced adapter? Does this adapter somehow have ground ?
