To each their own. Only owning and have heard the HD600, I can't speak for the 598, but the HD600s sound good unamped, they're not as mythically hard to drive as everyone says.
If you want to try them out, now would be a great time considering Amazon has the HD598 for $210 with a $30 giftcard.
If you don't like it, get the 600 or 650...

Why would you get a DAC first? Get a HD600 and a O2 or a Schiit Magni.. Then get a DAC later. Amp first.

The HUD-MX1 the OP intends to buy is not exactly "unamped" in the first place.

Yea amp firs the new Schiit amp and dac can be had for 99 bucks each. What a DEAL!

True, get a HD600 then when you get enough money add a Magni and enjoy! Then a Modi. Or O2/ODAC if you want.

i want to get a dac first ia because i saved most of my music in my computer and i don't have a cd player

How about the 598 and a small amp/dac combo like the Fiio E17? 
 
The E17 is a great little amp/dac. It will have plenty of power for the 598.
