Yeah I know but the best the Beatles ever sounded was out of the Opera I used to have with the cross-feed enabled. jlingo's initial post makes me wonder how the combination of S-Logic and cross-feed sounds.

The 9s got a full 10 hour workout today and I remain impressed. I called Drew and am considering some silver dragon.

Well I heard that Jan Meier says that it is a nice compliment, I had the crossfeed myself, two of them with upgraded parts, and after getting used to the S-Logic, honestly I no longer feel it a must as I feel it in the past, with other heapdhones, for some recordings, i still miss it, but that's it, of course still no bleeding, but also keep in mind that nowdays recordings (not the Beatles of course) include the proper bleeding, or at least some kind of it, for headphone listening, as today heapdhone listening is a must, and more frequent that at that time...

The best way Beatles sounds in heapdhones is mono, trust me....

The Beatles are my parent's generation so I just try to understand them better through their music. I also really think it's just interesting to listen to all different genres of music so I am always finding something new to appreciate...I know it sounds hokie.

Anyhow, any of you 9ers planning any cable changes? If so, why and what are you considering? I am considering balancing them but don't want to mess with something so great as it is. To be honest, the cable from the cups to the split is twisting a bit and tickling me in the neck so while that might be intriguing to some...not me

Oh Sov You liked Phils Portable Amp but have not tested Phils latest version the refined smaller and many years later, Lisa III, or have you?
The 3rd channel that started with the PPA , and set it apart, is back!

My 2 cent on "crossfeed".... I auditioned my friends crossfeed amp, to me I
preferred listening without the function employed, it seemed better defined
and generally more enjoyable with the channels fully separated. He explained
that he wanted his set-up to sound more like speakers. and thats why he wants some sound from the other side. From my point of view, I want my set-up to sound better than speakers, catching all those nuances that speakers miss. I am a musician and want to pick out every note from every instrument. For coloration, different headphones give plenty of options. Phil shares this point of view and designs to create the purist sound as the artists intended This is the bond Phil & I share, that brought the Lisa III to market, I was amazed with the PPA so I founded the company
So Just my biased opinion, I EnJoY the LISA III more than my friends TWO
Thousand dollar crossfeed amp.

May I know which crossfeed do you use? Some crossfeed are badly implemented, it really blurred everything.

I agree that LISA III is very musical, warm, laid back, euphonic and enjoyable. There is no doubt about that. But for accuracy transparency, and purity, I would pick M902 anyday.

My friends amp is Grace 902 (anaversity) and it did jndeed blurr everything with the crossfeed on. without crossfeed it was pleasant but not detailed. hmm I have not heard an amp yet as clean, detailed and pure as the Lisa,(except Phil's Headcode)

I'm in touch with Phil regularly, same as Sergio, well recently he has been busy, but I know that the LISA is a terrific amp, just wondering when I will be listening one....

But honestly if I would go for one amp made by Phil, this will be the Code, that is a monster of an amp!!!

Ya, I can use Phil's head-code from time to time, It is nailed to a board!
