UK Meet Anyone?

No ideas on a venue (my house is pretty small and in the middle of nowhere, sorry!

), I suspect it would be a good idea to have it somewhere fairly central in the country with excellent transport links.

Sometime in November would be great!

I'm well up for it!

I will be able to bring better stuff this time!!!

I'm interested but don't have the space myself for a big meet, as you know.

Depends on the date really as I'll be looking after someone convalescing after surgery soon and she would not appreciate the house being used for a meet if she's not up to her normal self.

Hi, could be interested if the date and place are convenient, definitely...not much to bring to it other than a CMOY, HD650 and maybe my Denon Mini-system, but would sure like to attend, meet people and learn more.

Jatinder,

There's no firm timeframe (or venue) set as yet, as I'm trying to see if there enough people interested in the first place. December sounds good, plenty of time to get plans going. Do you know of anyone else who might be interested in coming along?

I'd put a post in the general forum to wake people up - but you could try looking in the thread for the previous UK meet & contact people who expressed an interest then.

sounds interesting. what sort of format is it?
bring equipment and just let people listen around?

personnaly jan would be great for me. but i will go with the majority if i can get time off work.

i can bring a graham slee solo.
also if the location isnt too far away i could pop one of my decks in the back of the car.

Here's a link to the last UK Meet (February 2005) that Captain kindly hosted!

http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showt...ottingham+meet

It was a really great day... Lots of fantastic equipment, people and food!

Basically lots of tables, everyone brings their kit and music and everyone moves around the room trying different kit out, chatting to eachother and listening to music!

Singlepower and HD-1000's were my faves from the last meet

That's pretty much it. Bring stuff, listen to other stuff, chat about stuff

. It's a great way to experience equipment that you might not have access to otherwise.

Hope you can make it where ever / when ever it happens.

I am interested. I could bring an RSA Raptor, Cyrus CD6 and JVC HP-DX1000 along.
