I got my Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5vi's (v2) yesterday from dabs.com, going for £37.00 if any UK head-fiers are interested.

I'm happy with the sound so far, however the microphonics when worn down are terrible, I mean literally everything gets transferred very loudly to the earphones.

Heres my problem, I wear them over ear to reduce microphonics, they are designed to be worn either way; however because the cable doesn't feature memory wire the last few inches next to the earphones the cable always falls off my ears and hangs really uncomfortably, not conforming to the back of my ear and just feels like its going to spring off all the time.

I have been looking at the Phonak silicone ear guides to counter this problem, will these fit the UESF5 cable and are the effective? The cable itself is very resistant to bending...if that makes sense. Are there any other solutions?

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you check out the Westone Cable? It is one of the best cables, has low to no microphonics, and greatly enhances the SQ of the SF5. They cost around $30, but you have to file the pins down slightly to fit.
