Blu Tack maybe.

Never tried, other than for my speakers to stands.

With cones I just placed whatever it was on them with nothing in between.

Is the Grado PH-1 phono pre-amp worth $400? I'm talking with someone who might sell it to me, and i sort of want it, it will complete my setup.

Ok so I have installed everything and of course this being my first turn table, I have ran into an issue.  It can play music and everything, but there is a constant buzzing/humming and especially so when I touch the turntable itself.. (the torearm, counterweight, antiskating etc) numerous parts of the turntable when touching creates even more humming.  This is probably a grounding problem right?  I have adjusting the ground wires many times, is there something else I should try??

Almost certainly. You have the ground wire from the turntable connected to your phono preamp?

Yes I do, there are two coming from my turntable, I should ground both right?  And they can be ground separately or on the same grounding lug?

Say what ?

Okay,l what table is thi s? I have NEVER heard of a turntable with 2 grounding wires. Just 1.

2 RCA's (1 RED Right, 1 WHITE left) and 1 ground wire.

So tell us more, post a picture, something

Does anyone have any info on the vpi classic companion? Do you think this would be a good starter unit?

Uh...YEAH...not even a question...but

1) What will you be playing it through? System
2) What cart and phono stage were you thinking to go with it ?

Very good choice
