Some more information/speculations on the T2 here using Google Translate. Comparing design mechanisms to the K3003 and DN2000 is pretty interesting for $99, but of course it all depends on how well it is implemented but I think/hope TTPOD will do a good job with this one!

Sometime January is when we are hearing a rough release date on penonaudio.

The T1-E are quite a safe choice to get at for their price of $45 from penon or various other places for cheaper. I still use my T1-E pretty regularly and if I didn't have them anymore I would gladly get another pair.
 
Frankly the difference between the two nobody really has any idea about right now. So if you can wait probably a month when we start hopefully getting them we will probably know if price/performance between the two scales well.

I don't expect much more delay as January is pretty close and they already have pictures/info graphic where as we still haven't heard much of the vsd5 from vsonic
