Anybody have the TRRS wiring spec for the 801? I had it a while back but I'll be damned if I can find it now.

You mean for the balanced amp module? I believe it is L+ / R+ / L- / R- for TRRS.

Yes, for the balanced amp module.
 
I found this image, but haven't be able to verify that that's how the 801 is wired.

If you get the new version of RE262 or RE272 from HifiMan now, the TRRS to TRS function has already been built into the two piece cable design so you won't need an extra adapter anymore.

But what if you have a measly re-zero that had its adapter broken?

You will need to ask Head-Direct if they have spare adapter for sale, or ask a DIY'er to make a TRRS to TRS adapter, I guess.
