So... the Icarus IV is supposed to be the successor of PM6, or is it a product of it's own category? Are there sound impressions anywhere?

Also, Trinity is offering 30% discount at CanJam SoCal.

From my understanding of the Sagaris line and from what Bob posted, they should be pretty different in their sound signature if we base ourselves on Master vs Icarus III. Then again, there's very little information available right now other than Master = Analytical and Icarus III = Emotional.

Out of all the Trinity products I'll own, I think the Icarus IV is the only one I'll pass on. ;)

Analytical vs emotional. Thats very interesting. I wish they have some sort of prototype at the CanJam. By emotional I imagine their signature would be smooth and focus on depth and imaging while still keeping the resolution. Tube amp like? I have heard the Sennheiser 650, so I understand what smooth is.

I would have to decide whether to go for the Icarus after I hear the PM6. Some albums do benefit from smooth signature (assuming emotional is smooth). If I like Trinity sound, it may not be a bad idea to have two IEMs with different purposes. Additionally, the Master may be more fun and suited for rock bands and fast paced music.

I would tend towards low and smooth, and unexpected sound placement as a description of "emotional"... But then again, this is just supposition based on the little information we have of the series. ;)

This is the reason I got the Icarus III instead of the master. I have a feeling that for the type of music I listen to, the Icarus would probably bring things to a different level than the PM6/Hunter. I guess this is another reason I'm passing on the Icarus IV, as I'm already in for the Air, PM6, Hunter AND Icarus. :\ haha. I also ordered a Master for a collegue.

OMG so cool! is it titanium?

Yup! They're blow-torched by hand... the coloring process is such that every heat-treated Hunter will look unique

Bob said that videos of him torching the Hunter will pop up online eventually... Nice way to blow off some steam

OHHH I think Canadian orders ship from Alabama! That's exciting

I've been wondering about that, considering Canada has Commonwealth status with the UK. My thought was that it'd be easier to ship from the UK straight to Canada instead of going through the states...

We'll see, I guess. ;)

They'll be grand. Just gunmetal, so color won't be as impressive. ;) Sad part is that I got the gunmetal PM6 and Gunmetal hunter... Had I known I'd get the hunter, I would have gotten the red PM6.
