Since nobody has pointed it out yet...
Shouldn't it be "world's first switchable SEMI-open and closed-back....." ?

I mean, come on... it's 6 little holes.

I've read people rant about the HD600 not being truly "open-back".... now I think that's extreme, but to call this 'open-back' is a stretch.
I can't be the only one thinking this.

Agree, I'm with you....

I'm sure the quality won't be affected.
I'm pretty sure the sound presentation will be that of a semi-open, and not a truly open-back.

I am tapped out on headphones money for the month. And after yesterday's news/birthday present, headphone money will be tighter than usual. I'm reluctantly going to hold off for now and probably buy a pair when the time/money is right.

Congratulations on the release Bob, they look awesomesauce!

Backer #47. I have to admit, I find the Deltas so nice I figure this is a no-brainer. And my birthday is in March, so can you have them shipped to arrive March 9th, Bob? Thanks in advance!

I've got some Deltas on the way, too

Very excited for them based on Brooko's review!

The HD600 are VERY nice open-backed headphones, hell, probably the very best ones you can get in the under-400-dollar pricerange.  Assuming you have a good enough amp for them, that is!  Have fun listening to them :)

Now that I've ordered the Deltas, I'm gonna start saving up to be able to back this Vario project :-D
Where can I get an idea of the sound, I'm a bit sceptical to headphones that look to good

I've been ruined by Beats without actually ever owning a pair

Supposedly Brooko will be posting a review of the Vario soon (like in the next couple weeks, probably a couple days, or something, but he's a very busy guy).  And if Brooko likes the sound, that should end up boding very well for the rest of us
