On wednesday 27/1 arrived my Fioo K5 pro and my new TRI I3. I started to play with it and i find an strange behaviour. If I use the usb input all is fine, but if I use he SPDIF IN (or no input connected) I can hear huge hiss with the TRI-I3, if I touch the metal box of the K5 the hiss dissapear but if I left to touch it then again huge hiss. No matter if he Fioo is ON or OFF I can hear the hiss until I keep touched it or conected to and usb source. I´ve tried several plugs of my house and 3 protected strips. The same thing happens with the SMSL M3.

Any help?

I have similar, one purple and another orange, for bling effect, but I have yet to match the cables with IEMs.

I also got a bonus orange cable from XINHS with my order (a massive 8-core, pretty stiff and heavy; he threw it in for free as incentive to get me to place the order before the holiday ). I asked for it to be made in MMCX, but now I wish I'd asked for a balanced plug. I could have slapped it on the MT300. As such, it ended up on the IT00.

Post some pics. Mine are both 4 core, I want an idea of how the 8 core looks. I think the Aten does not work well with the purple....or maybe it does?

I have done the same thing with my mauve KBEAR Lark, 16 core Kinboofi cable:

I guess I should’ve posted this here instead of the KBEar thread. I think it would be better as a Tri branded IEM.

Tri should really develop a 3 DD IEM with a tuning similar to something like the ThieAudio Clairvoyance, See Audio Yume, Moondrop Dusk, Fearless Dawn. If it has technicalities even close to the UM 3DT, particularly detail and holographic imaging, along with ideal tuning like these examples, I can almost guarantee it will be a big seller, especially if the price doesn’t exceed the Starsea.

There‘s a lot to work with regarding a name also, given that it has “Tri” dynamic drivers.
