They're very different sounding but equal performers.

I really dig Primavera with Valkyria and it suites warmer pairings generally speaking.

RO can be a little more versatile considering WE300B or TM300B.

But both amps sort of obliterate my upgraditus.

I would ask what type of sound you're looking for and what pairing types you're considering and then proceed.

looking for a holographic sound big stage real life scary timber I bought the RO XL to pair with Susvara for everything and soon 1266 mainly for EDM but thinking of pairing the RO with the new Rockna reference line but seen as much it's priced i probably going to chew on something like cyan 2 until i get it.

What tubes you're using with the RO i know WE are the standards for 300B but TM300B heard they are the best.

hopefully not, i want one system to do everything like the HE1 but i don't think that is possible to have relaxe sound with aggressive sound at the same time so i change the headphones but people here using different TOTL amps which is nuts

Both are holographic and grand sounding. RO is far more dense and Primavera more pure sounding. But if you've not heard a great 300B there is no referential context.

I use TM300B with Osram A2900 and GZ34 metal. However I also use quad TM300B and mesh 45 for the DAC source.

I'd go out on a limb and say your Rockna would slide too warm with the WE300B.

From what other little information I have gotten from you.

The price on eBay is 1500 USD, which is very high for me, is it really available for that much?

Which other tube can give even better results than the factory one?

Yes the price is quite high since there’s not that many left in the wild. Even if you go to Tube Depot, they’ve raised their price for WE437A to $1.5k for a single tube.

Alternatives to the stock tubes are EH 6S45Pi gold pins and Reflektor 6S45P-E. These are easier to find and cheaper. I have the EH gold pins, but I don’t really like them as it blunted the sound a bit too much for my taste. The stock tubes are actually pretty good, but my preference is still the WE437A as it really elevates every aspect of the sound to an even better level.

Are you sure you meant the EH 6S45Pi?
I think this is the EH 6C45Pi with the gold legs.

You can check Woo Audio website, they probably still have them in stock. Yeah it’s the same tube, “C” is “S” in Russian (or perhaps the other way around).
