Cool. I feel sometimes that TakeT headphones are under-appreciated.

Have I been away so long never heard of any taket headphones.

They are unique, sounding like something between planars and 'stats. Unfortunately they needed first a speaker amp, then the Taket amp hooked up to that, to get any serious results.

TakeT's TR2 contains two transformers that will impedance match the H2+ and the amplifier.

Trafomatic Audio has now made an amplifier where you don't need the TR2. It's a custom amplifier for the H2+.

Here are the pictures I've got from Sasa so far.

Early testing in mid october

Test model ready in november

The final amplifier.  EL34 in triode mode and driver is 6s45p.

I'm very much looking forward to your impression on this!

The only reason that held me back from buying a TakeT was that it's supposedly very hard to drive, get it to sound right with proper amping and source. I only wished there would be an aftermarket company that builds a dedicated amp for it, and now here it is!

Can somebody explain why it has those two blue transformers that look like output transformers? I thought it was supposed to be 'direct' drive from the tube bypassing any transformer? Maybe I am missing something.
