The time has come for some IEMs and I'm looking for some advice. I can not yet afford custom fitted ones so looking at other options. So far the shure se215s are looking best for price, quality and isolation which is very important. Just wondering if anyone else has any other recommendations? On another note I'm looking for some personal earphones for everyday listening. The astrotec am-90s are taking my fancy. Any objections? Also both of these need to be avaliable in the UK!

You can afford custom, cosmic ears!

Shure are a good bet too.

All the high end cosmic ears seem to be out of stock. How are the low end ones? Thanks for the help!

Look for the cosmic ears thread, plenty of impressions on the low end ones there.

Yeah I've just been doing that. Low end ones won't be good enough and the high end ones are out of stock. Any ideas when they'll be in stock again?

Maybe only next year, they are designing a new cable. The low end ones will be pretty similar to the Shure SE215, I'd get the SE425.

Could also check into some of the lower lines of Gorilla Ears AT or GX series.

The SE215 sounds like exactly what you need.

The RE262 current price is realy low (head-direct) and they are great buy at this price and other IEMs like Yamah EPH100, Sony EX600, JVC FX3X, Sony XB90EX, FXD80, Harmen Kardon AE and GR07 are great for drums and bassheavy tracks.
