I'm searching for a Dap with warm sound signature but also with touch and stable UI.
 
My experience until now:
 
Ipod touch 4g: good impact and detail but with soundstage too compressed; also little too bright for me.
Samsung s3: less detail and sometimes with grain treble, but with soundstage much wider than ipod
Fiio X3: beatifull warm sound signature, but no touch and SQ not so much higher than Ipod and S3

You might want to look at cowon players. From what i know, most have touchscreens and their UI is somewhat stable.

I prefer it, but these are my criteria in order of importance:
- warm sound signature
- UI stable
- Touchscreen
 
Ipod classic 5.5 satisfies the first two and it would also be quite, but I don't like hard disk in a world with flash drive and ssd disk

You can modify iPod 5.5 with SSD or CF-card.
 
Also Teclast T51 should suit you, but you can find them only old and use, Sony NWZ-Z1000 and nef F880, ZX1 should be very good. 
Cowons has synthetical sound.

Never though a Teclast T51 was warm sounding. Sony probably fit the OPs criteria, quite expensive though.

my budget is under 300...new or used, so ZX1 is too expensive for me
 
I read for Cowon problem about UI stable;
 
about F880 I read dissenting opinions: some listen to it as cold, other warm
 
with Apple product I test only ipod 4g: the only true big issue is bidimensional sound, there is separation between instruments, but no air between them: except ipod 5.5, there are other IOS products with a decent soundstage? iphone 4s?
