I am now getting into the audiophile world and seems like I joined way too late
Sad I missed the opportunity to learn from experienced audiophiles so close to home.
How often do these meets occur?

I like to get to a meet at least every few months, so if one isn't hosted by another person in that time frame, I don't mind hosting one.

Would love to host one but i don't think my building's party room is as big and well equipped

As would I, but I have a one-bedroom apt.  At least then maybe I'd be able to make it...

That party room was pretty good for the number of people that were there.  The room was big and could have fit a lot more, but there weren't that many tables.  Every 3 or 4 months sounds like a good frequency to hold a meet.  I showed up with nothing, well some beers and my wife (I guess she counts), but I'm hoping I will have my own gear for the next meet.
 
I liked that there was more to the meet than just bringing gear - re-cabling demo, raffle, etc.

I thought the room size was just fine... We just need more seating - and maybe something to help keep the noise of people talking from interfering with the sound of the cans!
