Maybe that is the reason I've not experienced it and all other users too. I've used it only in DAC mode.

Same for me when I had mine, DAC only use the whole time since I needed to control volume upstream anyway (bass management).

I sent the D90 back a few weeks ago now, but I seem to remember that I also had the clicking issues also in DAC mode. But I'm not 100% sure.

Could someone tell me which cable would be compatible to use the I2S output of the Shanling ET3 CD Transport for the Topping D90 discrete?
Any link with the possibility of purchasing in Europe?

For Topping D90 Discrete I2S any HDMI cable is compatible. But for the best quality of transmission it should have isolated wire harnesses. I use Audioquest Forest hdmi https://www.audioquest.com/products/forest-48-hdmi-cable

Ok so I have it.

Currently turned off all BT & PEQ settings.
I have 5V mode ON, DAC Mode ON, with DSD Bypass ON. RCA to Coax.
Are these the settings to use if I want the DSD 1bit effect maximized?

Didn't really understand if I should have DSD on or off.

I'm playing PCM material.

Ciao Ragazzi. Ho un bluray player Cambridge azur 751. Attualmente lo uso come meccanica di trasporto. Collegato al DAC topping d90iii discrete, tramite cavo coassiale. Il Lettore possiede anche l'uscita HDMI. Collegando l'uscita HDMI del lettore al l'ingresso i2s del Topping potrebbe funzionare? Grazie

Hi Guys. I have a Cambridge azur 751 bluray player. I currently use it as a transport mechanism. Connected to the topping d90iii discrete DAC, via coaxial cable. The player also has an HDMI output. Could connecting the player's HDMI output to the Topping's i2s input work? Thanks

The Blu-ray player’s HDMI output is almost certainly a standard HDMi/eARC signal. The D90 III Discrete’s I2S port cannot accept ARC input.

Yes ofcourse, a transport that has an i2s output will work with the I2s input on the D90III D.

Decided to return to my greatest love and purchased another D90 III Discrete, this time in silver, to match my B200s. Still the best sounding DAC I’ve ever owned, even if only listening to PCM material.

Ho deciso di tornare al mio più grande amore e ho acquistato un altro D90 III Discrete, questa volta in argento, da abbinare ai miei B200. È ancora il DAC con il suono migliore che abbia mai posseduto, anche se ascolto solo materiale PCM.
