I just bought a Tomahawk & lod off the for sale forum and the amp only plays at a low volume. I've replaced the batteries with a fresh set but the volume is still low. I have the Ipod turned all the way up and the volume knob on the amp is also turned all the way up. Anyone else ever have this problem or know what may be wrong?

Driving a really inefficient pair of headphones maybe?

Tried zune earbuds, bose over ear, & skullcandies same results. The Bose at least should more than sufficient to work with the tommie. Also this is all I have until my tripie.fi's come in next week

Grab a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and give it a try off the headphone out of your ipod. Sort of explains why it was for sale... Oh, I hope not.

There should be enough volume for you, even on low gain. There might be a fault in the gain circuitry. If high gain works for you, then you know something's wrong.

Found the problem; my new bateries weren't so new. Went out and bought another pack and amp plays fine. I initially thought they were in wrong or the lod was bad but it was the batteries.

Glad to hear the problem's been solved. Now go enjoy the amp! It's great.

Glad to "hear" that you are hearing the music now.
