Finally got my UD110 replacement! Thank you Stoner Acoustics!

I can confirm it works well with these setups:
HTC One < UD110 < JDSlabs C5
iMac 2011 < UD110 < JDSlabs C5

Sound is superb!

Hi Marc, could i ask a question? Isn't it different between your two player Htc one vs iMac?
Because I experienced the different between my one x and Mac ari?
It is muh better when I play with Mac air. My headphone is GR07
I do not know why because according to theory, it must be the same

From memory, I didn't find any difference.
I assume that the music files in your Mac Air are the exact copy of the ones in your HTC?
I'll try and do a comparison when I get a chance.

currently I have O2, does it improve sound quality to chain with UD110 more than C5D it self ?

I do not have the C5D but the C5D and UD110 use he same USB receiver and the same DAC. There could still be slight differences in sound of course.
I use the UD110 with a JDS Labs C421 and I don't feel the need to upgrade to C5D.

I got your point, zachgraz, thanks.

hahah sooo i dug through this whole thread & there hasn't been been a direct comparison of the U110 against the dragonfly audioquest v1.2 or the HiFimeDIY Sabre U2 Asynchronous USB DAC (or the Sabre Tiny or the Sabre Android)

I know all these products fall under the same budget DAC category is most people don't need more than one of em, but anyone has friends w/ an alternative product or goes to a meet, I know a lot of people would love to hear about a direct comparison of just the sonic qualities of each DAC.

I just received my 2 UD110v2 stoner DAC's (wil resend the 'old' one to upgrade.....I plugged in an OTG cable, plugged in UD110v2...heard a 'bliep'....and started Neutron (best Android music player with 64 bit processing) Directly it worked! woaaaw...what a sound out of my Xperia Z!!! Good dynamics, loud enough, like plugged on my computer....Just battery of smartphone drains a little faster (that's the price you have to be willing to pay). Is there a solution to charge and use the OTG adapter?
Don't need an expensive sony hi-res player (with a lot of limititations) or an LG Hi-res smartphone. This is the killer.
Stoner Acoustics has done a GREAT JOB. Not only a 'big bang for the buck' DAC, but also compatible with Android smartphones!!!! No one of this big Fancy 'bla bla' companies, have accomplished this!
Hat off for Stoner Acoustics (and Chong)....They are also friendly, immediate feedback....I love it...

hey fellow ud110v2 owners. is there anything to set-up when using this with windows 7? i went through the sound properties & disabled sound enhancements, and changed the sample rate/bit depth to max: 16bit 96000 Hz. coolcool thanks. what kind of sonic improvements did you all notice when using this?

Well, after getting my 1st shipment ripped off in transit, Stoner sent out another without a hitch. Thank you, Stoner.

I'm really liking the DAC and think it's a great buy. I also have the Dragonfly v1.2 and HiFimeDIY non-async. All three are excellent DACs for the money and work flawlessly with Windows 7/8, all getting their drivers loaded automatically. I use JRiver MC.

I highly recommend the addition of a USB isolation board and power supply. This opens up the sound considerably and is another worthy purchase. I use these:

http://www.ab-system.hk/index.php?route=product/product&path=73&product_id=64
with the upgraded Cardas cable:

I use this combo at work with the C&C BH2 amp (another great deal). This all makes for a very nice, low-cost desktop rig. My V6-S ciem's love it. I can leave my Portaphile 627 at home with the HD600's.

update if anyone is interested. i was noticing some audio distortion when i first started using the dac, so i ended up reinstall all my audio drivers, and I think that actually helped a lot with the issue as I haven't been having issues for the past 30 minutes of testing.

also, i was wondering if there could be some issues with windows automatically detecting the ud110v2 and trying to install the wrong drivers for it or something like that, because I notice that whenever I restart my computer, I start running into issues. has anyone else noticed any issues like this & is there anyway to disable windows from trying to find drivers for the ud110v2? thanks!
