Tin Hifi P1 impressions

Ok. Been using the P1 for months now. Truly love them!!! Is low end anemic, lacking or bass light? Yes and no. The P1 are extremely neutral with the low end. If you are looking for bass. This will have it but they will not thump and slam. You need eq for that.

Secondly. The P1 to shine need more than 500mw of power. This is no issue anymore. There are dac/amps for cheap that can deliver this. E1DA 9038s Gen 3 & others.

Fit. The P1 needs good fit for them to sound great. If you don't have a good seal in your ear, expect too much treble and low end that is seriously lacking. Eartips though can be found cheap at many places though.

Cable. The P1 can do with an upgraded cable, luckily there are many cable now days that can be bought for a great low price and are actually of good quality.

Eq. Lastly before you buy the P1. Try having access to EQ.

Now other than that, yes it all seems like alot. But honestly it isnt. Tips can be found for $5. A good cable can be found for $30. The 9038s Gen 3 $133. And the Tin Hifi P1 can be found for $200 - $230. Get UAPP or neutron thats $10. I am talking about AUD dollars. You add all that up and yes you are spending around $400 AUD. But the E1DA 9038S Gen 3 is portable end game. Mighty lil thing. And is pretty good for home use as well. UAPP and neutron are extremely good music players. For $400 I can whole heartedly say the P1 is insane value. Now don't expect a massive soundstage. Don't expect a bass head iem. But if you value amazing clarity, insane detail retrieval. Great vocal performance. The P1 is one of the best iems for that. Detail is not lacking at all. The P1 does have more detail than my Moondrop S8. But yes you need good power for that to be possible. If you can get that whole set up though. The P1 is insane. It handles EQ amazingly as well. Yes it has it's quirks but they are not hard to handle. Hopefully the P2 can fix the low end, add a bit more soundstage and be easier to drive. But I am still enjoying the P1 daily from the first day I bought them till now.

E1DA Powerdac v2 is the actual match from heaven!
We got tons of enhanced presets in the E1DA discord for this.

+1

Agree here, if you have the necessary power, and can EQ up the bass...P1's are clarity and detail monsters. Very enjoyable.

Anyone have UAPP and want to make your P1 sound more natural? Try these EQ settings 😊👍.

303hz can be anywhere between -2 to -3 db.

1870khz can be anywhere between -1.5 to -2.5db.

To my ear, the settings put above in the photo are best though 😊👍. If anyone trys it out, let me know what you think.

From the photo I see the 3.5 L adapter, and what looks like a 4.4 adapter. I wonder if that means the stock cable is going to be 2.5? Or maybe they will use some kind of system like the Dunu/FiiO cables? Also, looks like QDC 2-pin instead of MMCX, which is always a welcome change.

Regardless, I think we can expect an increase in price over the P1 just based on the packaging and accessories. I would guess $299 or more.
