Yes press PLAY, enjoy the music. But how can Tidal Hifi be FLAC when WAV can also be 44.1/16hz. Just different format.. same sample rate.. It certainly stream lossless files.

Yes but am referring to streaming lossless. Moreover, it does not explain the fact that 44.1/16 can also be WAV especially streaming on Tidal for instance.

All 16bit 44.1 or better

Yes.... and again, referring whether Tidal Hifi considered as FLAC even at 44.1/16hz especially since its streaming wirelessly and other formats can even stream 44.1/16hz.

I always considered Tidal Hifi to be FLAC.

Sure, that is marketing claim. But what are the argument of that especially there are a few, that claim Tidal Hifi is not FLAC although it streams equivalent 44.1/16hz.

I myself consider Tidal Hifi is FLAC so am quite curious as well.

Do you know what a zip file is? On your computer, you can compress a file or folder into a zip file that is smaller size. A zip file is lossless, because when you expand it, you get exactly the original file.

Think of FLAC as like a zip file for audio data. Start with an uncompressed 44.1/16 WAV file, then compress it to a smaller size FLAC file. Both have 44.1/16 data.
