The flange is the flap on the backside that goes in the channel and holds it on. There audeze pads come with an adhesive ring to stick them on

I might get the square hole lambskins you first had, is the leather nice?

Yes, very nice. Just a pain to seal on my head cause the holes are too big

I think the standard suede brainwavz xl is nice and under $30. I order a set of the square hole, $35 posted hard to go wrong.

I want to build a MK2 version now.

I got the square hole pads, one was picture perfect and the other was not great looking. I am pretty picky with pads being even, sound great though and very comfy.

Got my walnut cups in to make the MK2 version!

Are Vibro Labs still active? They haven't replied to my IG message in days and their last post is 15 weeks old :frowning2:

Not really sure what is up, I was trying to get another tuning kit but no response which is a let down. Perhaps he has real life issues going on but should at least state that. Instagram also sucks really bad, what happened to using good old email like most other business do.

I might be selling a MK2 soon.

Just wanted to chime back in, I've been using these for gaming for months now and I have to say they are by far the best gaming headphones I have ever used. My buddies all ask me now "where do you hear them at?" when playing pubg. They are almost hacker level sound detail. Been running them off the monolith 788 dac/amp balanced. They are still rock solid for music too but I've been mainly gaming on them. I compared them to my k7xx and ad700x for gaming and those dont hold a candle to these things. Plus they are super comfy and I game for hours in them.

@FireLion & @Shroomalistic, did you prefer flat pads or angled pads with your headphone? I plan to buy every configuration of pads and measure them with my EARS on my vibrolabs (hybrid, velour, sheepskin & sheepskin perforated)!
