Wait a minute! There’s gotta be a catch!
Only that this amp is designed exclusively for direct sale in the US market. We don’t have 230V-compatible wall warts on tap for all the different plug types around the world. We only sell a 115V version for the USA.

Damn - this stops me pulling the trigger on these. I need to work out what wall plug will work for me (we're 240V here in Australia). Will a 16v AC 1.38 Amp plugpac work?

I believe you just have to supply your own, just get in touch with them to make sure what kind of adapter you need.

I wish I was a newb for a lot longer!

Hopefully the new stack will let the pain of hitting 30 go away a bit faster. :D

You mean at the same time? Assuming you mean...

Modi -> RCA input of the speakers

Yes, the Modi only has one RCA output, and the Magni only has one RCA input (no outputs). You'd have to buy an RCA splitter/switcher to hook the Modi up to two devices (i.e. Magni + Speakers).

Something like this:

or a piggyback cable:

Not sure what either of these would do to the sound quality though.

I have a piggyback cable, and I'm gonna have to use it if I wanna use my Magni as the amp for the Modi and for my Mixamp (Dolby Headphone sources)

Oh wow. Thanks for giving me a headache. I want this so badly, but precisely because the Modi is so cheap, shipping is nearly half the darned price of this thing. So tempted to get this for my near-field rig.

BTW, both their casings have a finish that looks pockmarked, kinda like leather from some angles, looking at the pictures. Looks different from the sexy brushed casings on your higher-end stuff. I guess its needed to cut costs. Or are my eyes fooling me, and they have the same finish?

Ooh, a leather case... now that would be an interesting mod to do. Either put a layer down on top (perhaps using the screws and some washers to hold it down for an industrial look), or form a piece of hardened leather. Then burn the logo into the front. Hmm.

Assuming both amps have a high input impedance (which they should), it shouldn't be a problem. There's always the chance of ground hum or other noise coming through the cable though.

Yeah, I'm more worried about the quality of the piggyback cables. I use an old one from when I first got my Astro A40+Mixamp bundle which seems like a solid cable, but I'm worried it's not as good as having a direct cable to each of these devices.

I wouldn't say that's true, but it is my concern. I'd buy a piggyback cable just in case. They're very cheap, and the convenience is there if the quality is near identical.
