Onkyo sounds very digital and artificial to me, definitely not a high end dap should sound like.

I'm currently trying to decide between Opus#2 and Sony's WM1A. I'd be interested to hear any comments regarding pairing Opus#2 with CA Vega or 64 U12 ADEL IEMs.

Yeah, opus 2 vs wm1A would be a good smash up between pricing and performance. I don't have 1A but only 1Z with headphones only though

Compared Sony WM1A with the Opus #2 today. Still prefer the Opus #2 sound signature, WM1A sounds a tad too warm for my liking.
Using Ck100pro and JVC HA-FW02 to test both units, Opus #2 & Ck100pro stand out the most, synergy is just perfect!

Opus #2 sounds good on all the iems that I owned. Namely Ck100pro, SD2, JVC HA-FW02, FAD FI-BA-SS, ATH-EW9.
I believe it had the power to drive most iems with ease.

I will do a comparison to 1Z later after it is done burn in. They both are different as 1Z is warmer with longer decay Opus 2 is more neutral with faster decay
