We will surely find out soon. It seems like they're not yet ready to reveal all the details and just released a (confusing) teaser of an upgrade.

Unfortunately Im keeping old opus 1.
I don't see much gain for me to get new one.
I will let everyone else upgrade.

One of best disciplines on headfi is to enjoy looking at new stuff but not buying anything that is not must buy.

I'm evaluating my portable setup and see no need for upgrade.

I think I will also hold on to my #1 as long as it serves me well, and so far, I have no complaints using it. Just considering a future upgrade but not very soon though. I've been eyeing the DX200 but I haven't convinced myself enough to go for it yet. For the mean time, I'll watch out how the #1s will perform against the older brother.
