I use the hyperx cloud II. They are really amazing headphones, and cost really cheap.
And the heat matter, well It was still running hot with the ice, and wasn't ideal, so I found a really good solution, i had an old Heat Sink, and it's finally cold!

Wow I'm impressed you could get this cold as it runs so hot. i thought the 220 got hot but this is crazy.

I got it from this eBay store. I don't know enough about this stuff to know if what they are upgrading is worth it but if can get any more out of this it will be worth it.

I got mine on AE with the upgrades, for more or less $200

dont mind the folder title, Folder title was 0.4K although when flashed to zishan it appear into 0.4L


For me the sound was somewhat upgrade from 0.4K, I dont like the smooth and silky sound on 0.4K as it bring my setup into over airy and lack presence. bass quantity also increased as the high frequency felt a bit rolled off, tbh i still prefer 0.4i for my setup as it carry more presence without sacrificing bass and high frequency

I think the seller did not understand you, because all the one sold on AliExpress are with the upgrades. The only place i saw that there was a standard version was on eBay. And i think that the standard version might be the 4497 that was upgraded to a 4499.
I bought it on a sale but that's not much more now

I think we've got our cables crossed there.

I got the normal ak4499 from AE but the one I got from the eBay listing has upgraded chips inside from the standard one. If he still has them available if you check the dropdown on the listing there should be 2 options for the 4499.

I knew this is possible to find an upgraded one from some sellers but all the usual ones selling it on AE said they couldn't upgrade or sell the 4499 with upgraded bits inside.

That is about the price I paid I think. I am interested to see if it has any effect over the standard one. If it does I'll be very happy as I like that one a lot already.

On which model of DSD have you found 0.4L working / sounding the best?
So far, I've downloaded 0.4K, 0.4L, and 0.5B - and I believe all three of my DSD players currently have 0.5B installed.

At last I have got a AK4499. I ordered though Linsoul 3rd May, but what arrived was a AK4497. It took sometime before Linsoul would refund me. Then during an AliExpress sale I tried again through Nicehck, I ordered on June 20th and it arrived July 6th. It came in a small hard case, screen is a little marked but I think that might be the screen cover. I am running it through Schiit Magni 3+ Headphone Amplifier, with Beyerdynamic DT 1770 and it sounds great. I have a FiiO M11 Pro, which I use when outdoors and wanted the AK4499 to set up a cheap DAC AMP along with the Schiit. I am really pleased that I tried again to purchase the AK4499. The sad thing is that it's better sounding than the M11 Pro. The Schiit and the AK4499 cost a third of the M11 Pro.
