So i finally got my dsd 4499, and the sound is really amazing, even the usb dac is spectacular, but this little guy runs really hot! I actually put it on an ice thingy from my fridge

i listened dsd 4497 with rose mojito(dynamic driver) earbud and philips x2 .i can say that dsd 4497 (with both x2 and mojito) has less bass then zishan z2 .is it normal(sound difference) or related with low z bas roll off problem i know x2 not iem but low ohm.

I have the X1 4497 and 4499 and both have an amazing bass, and I am a bass head. So i don't understand why the x2 4497 don't?

I use the hyperx cloud II. They are really amazing headphones, and cost really cheap.
And the heat matter, well It was still running hot with the ice, and wasn't ideal, so I found a really good solution, i had an old Heat Sink, and it's finally cold!

I have the X1 4497 and 4499 and both have an amazing bass, and I am a bass head. So i don't understand why the x2 4497 don't?

zishan dsd newly arrived and i tested .so maybe reason is no burn in. i will do. thanks

After a critical listening for a good period of time to the Dsd4499, i can say for certain that this the best sound i ever heard from any dac or usb dac! He doesn't have as much sounstage as other dac, but its overall sound is more balanced and articulate and full of details. And Just for reference, i own many dacs, among them I have the topping d50 and the dx3pro. What's unclear to me is, how when I'm using the USB DAC playing 16bit the sound is still far superior than the 24bit 192khz from all those other DACs?
Fyi I prefer the filter short delay slow rf

P.s. i waiting for the D90 (ordered it few weeks ago)

Any updates on the 0.4L firmware? I've been listening mono on the 2.5mm jack using an adapter for xc

I asked for the last 0.4L FW updade and they sent me all the previous FW.
I insisted again for them to ask the manufacture to release 0.4L, they replied they were asking again for that specific version, but there's no further reply. I'll ask again, but I don't have much hope to get it (asking the 3rd time now).
Maybe you could also try to ask your supplier and explain your situation.

The last 2 msgs were sent just now, all the others are from 2 weeks ago.

Picked up a 4499 in the AE sale and I am very impressed with it so far. I have the 4495 & 4497 ones that I grew to like after they had 100's of hours use on them as burn in devices for headphones.

I only really use it on turbo mode and for when my dx220 is charging but it sounds amazing after only about 25 hours. This sounds the best out of the box of any of them I've tried. If it gets a lot better like the others then wow. Sometimes I forget if I am listening to this or the 220. Not saying it is as good as the 220 but it sounds very good.

I like it so much I ordered the upgraded one on the eBay link a few pages back. I'll let you know if it is worth it or not.
