Allow me to speculate about the bug. How much free space do you have on your SD card? I get random bugs, including the one mentioned, when I fill the card up too much. I have best results when I leave about 1 gigabyte free space. Coinsidance?

Still have 7-8 GB left...
Even try different microsd, fat32/exfat, ... 32gb only fill with one folder... Same bugs with folder order play

I have bought two of them from two different suppliers that had very good ebay ratings. They both crapped out within a month and no help from the suppliers. The matching amplifier lasted about two weeks.

I must be living right because I can't say enough good things about the one I have. I use it daily and haven't had a bit of problem with it. I love the way it sounds and haven't tinkered with it at all.

Would you consider selling one as is? Non working? I'm thinking about taking up a new hobby and dusting off my soldering equipment.

The one I shipped back to be repaired and never got it back. The other one has a messed up UI.No matter what I do it will only play one song

Try this..

While powered off, hold left button... Prrss center to power on.. (while still holding the left button)

It will restore to factory default... Language will be chinese but you can set it in english on setting.

Hopefully will fixed your issue

Been experimenting with my DSD AK4497EQ trying to make it play nice with my DIY single BA IEMs, among other things as should be evident from the photo...

Proof of concept worked fine, next step is to add ground and enable from the relay transistor to OPA1622, OPA1688 to buffer balanced out, two more 470uF caps to the pool and tidy this lovely mess up ;)

Good Lord! LOL You're a brave man. Will that fit back in the case? I mean no disrespect but I hope it sounds better than it looks.

All the parts that have been removed, between the op-amp socket and the output jacks - what did they do?
At the bottom-right corner of the AK4497 chip - is that a loose piece of wire?
