Well.... I've tried to contact the Singapore warranty repair people, but I'm not entirely sure who to contact to try and get them fixed. I don't even know if they qualify as theyre from Amazon Japan.
+1! That sums them up nicely Omnom!
That's a bummer. Any chance of getting them fixed?

You might be outta luck. My friend tried to use the warranty for his FXZ200s that he got out of Japan, but no dice.

I used the warranty for my AD900X that I bought through amazon.co.jp and tenso and it worked in the U.S. so I would suggest that you try it anyway, there's a good chance it'll work. You just need to include a proof of purchase.

How do you go about doing that?

Chiming in about the helpful ATUS people. Emailed them a few months ago about getting replacement wings for my AD700 and got them for free with no problem. Fairly prompt with their emails.

hey folks, i've had the WS99 for a couple months now, love the sound but I'm not digging the comfort. Any reccomendations for something similar but maybe more full-size?

If portability isn't a factor then the AD900X is definitely worth checking out. Unless the only genre you listen to is EDM.

well I have an AD2000X and it sounds nothing like the WS99. I'm looking for another headphone that can reproduce the bass like the WS99. the AD series doesn't really do that. I should mention that I'd prefer a closed headphone but not a must.If portability isn't a factor then the AD900X is definitely worth checking out. Unless the only genre you listen to is EDM.

Yeah, it has the AT sound signature, but it's definitely executed differently. I wish I could here the AD2000X, I can't even imagine how good it must sound. Have you looked into the JVC SZ2000s?

the AD2KX is awesome. A little shy in the bass at lower volumes or without the right amp but otherwise I love everything about it.
I'll check out the SZ2000, thanks

ad900x sound sig is very diff from ws99. V shaped with distant mids on ad900x while warm and rolled off treble wih forward mids on ws99.If portability isn't a factor then the AD900X is definitely worth checking out. Unless the only genre you listen to is EDM.

I got my ws-99s yesterday, and they don't really sound that great. They sound dead with what seems like little to no treble at all. Playing with the eq on my computer, and about 12 hours of burn in, they are sounding better. But when I hook them up to my ipod touch, they still sound dead and none of the eq settings help. If I buy a headphone amp, how much better will these sound? I come from the cks 99s and they sounded great. And I know that getting an amp will help with sound quality, but will it be like night and day with ws-99?
