Hmm, I ordered the 4.As with gun metal blue and ziricote. Now I wish I had ordered the buckeye burl.
Out of curiosity, would companies be able to paint the wood on a CIEM, or does something during the manufacturing process make it difficult? It might be cool to get a sunburst painted quilted maple faceplate to match my bass.

HAH. I was THIS close to getting the EXACT same design as you half a month ago. Went with the Afzelia burl in the end. I love your buck eye though...so.....buckish....

Time to "rock and roll" Should have them by the weekend, hopefully?

I have no idea what wood is being used? But they look gorgeous. Love the bits on the pair of 6A

I just left everything to the Wizard.

Thank you!!!

Wow those look great. Congratulations. I especially like the shell on the 6.A it looks kind of like a "streaky" glitter or something. Very cool.

That technically is not wood, but a type of grass, the streaks are a rod shaped glitter, I saw it, liked it, and more importantly, I have never seen it used before....  so naturally, I had to use it.

I think head-fi needs a 12-step group....the first step is admitting you're powerless over headphones.

Step 1: Buy an ipod
Step 2: Buy better iems
Step 3: Google why the music is still lacking
Step 4: Join Head-Fi
Step 5: Read and research
Step 6: Buy even better iems/cans and custom cables
Step 7: Buy amp and interconnects
Step 8: Buy DAP
Step 9: Convert to lossless audio files
Step 10: Repeat steps 6-8 over and over and over and over.....
Step 11: Curse the day you joined Head-Fi
Step 12: Cut up credit cards/cancel paypal account

I want to revise step 9: Use lossless.  Convert seems to infer we can convert from non-lossless which won't make any differences except you will have less available storage on your source.

Also want to revise step 1: why an iPod?  Most sources will do

I've done these in this order, step 1, 2, 4, 7, 5, 6 (repeat 6 a couple times)
