The problem is that color accuracy is not the same among monitors. I'm going to say this first and formost, yes the first picture (on top) is darker than it should be (to pop), but the white balance is still correct (brightness/contrast may be off though; depending on how you want it). The second picture has color inaccruacies with a slight warmth to it (2012 Macbook display). Color accuracy is never guaranteed as each monitor/screen colors differently. For example, my Toshiba laptop had a blue shift (it seems as if yours does as well). My iPod touch 4G has a blue shift in comparison to my iPod Touch 5G. With that said, there are people who test screens for color accuracy, they are all over the place.
I do agree that Heir could edit their photos to be more contrasting/popping, but the picture above is exposed a bit much.
This photo has a slightly blue shadow due to the translucent nature of the housings.
