I like good pictures as much as the next guy, but at the same time I wouldn't want someone at Heir spending much time on that sort of thing while they could be building orders for my fellow HeadFiers instead.

We're talking about a 30 second fix here :)

Are there any places where you can demo Heir iems?

Also curious to know if there really are differences in the SQ between the 4Ais and the 4As. I know the custom maybe be more comfortable for some, but I am a little skeptical of some saying that the 4As sound different to the 4Ais. (I think it was Sorenslim with the comment about the 4Ais being too small for his canal as a reason although not too sure. Just wanted some different input)

Yes - absolutely agree.  Monitor variation is insane.  I whipped that up on my uncalibrated work monitor and it's too warm on my uncalibrated MBP as well.  Should have done it on my photo monitor.  But color accuracy aside on the receiving end it would be ideal if it at least started correct, leaving the option for those who are equipped to see it correctly.  Likewise exposure and contrast.  Hell, if Heir could get their hands on a Gretagh Macbeth color chart and shoot a frame under the light they use I'd create a custom color profile for them to use.

The problem is that color accuracy is not the same among monitors.  I'm going to say this first and formost, yes the first picture (on top) is darker than it should be (to pop), but the white balance is still correct (brightness/contrast may be off though; depending on how you want it).  The second picture has color inaccruacies with a slight warmth to it (2012 Macbook display).  Color accuracy is never guaranteed as each monitor/screen colors differently.  For example, my Toshiba laptop had a blue shift (it seems as if yours does as well).  My iPod touch 4G has a blue shift in comparison to my iPod Touch 5G.  With that said, there are people who test screens for color accuracy, they are all over the place.

I do agree that Heir could edit their photos to be more contrasting/popping, but the picture above is exposed a bit much.

This photo has a slightly blue shadow due to the translucent nature of the housings.

I'm the elephant in the room. And I did hear the 4.A and 4.Ai very differently, which doesn't bode well for my ability to judge a CIEM from its demo model.

Hi all, first post here. Wanted to post this earlier but I was facing issues with posting pictures. I keep getting a "error communicating with server" message.
While lurking around the thread few weeks back looking for inspirations for my design, I noticed there were a lot of questions about a "mirror finish".
So I thought I'll show you all what a mirror finish is like.
I'm still having issues with uploading the pictures, so I uploaded it on Imageshack and linked it here. Please let me know If I accidentally violated any rule by doing so.

Furthermore, I would like to thank Dr. John Moulton and everyone else in Heir Audio. I swear I'm a terrible customer. I couldn't stop asking questions, but throughout the journey everyone at Heir Audio replied very promptly, politely and answered all my questions with utmost patience. Furthermore, I chose "Rush Order" and "Wizard Design", so I basically made the good doctor complete my 8.A personally within 3-5 days. He completed it in 4. So once again, thank you all!
