A little disappointed that the color does not match but hey they sound great and I can easily tell from left and right.
 
 

The Black Mamba is suppose to be dark almost black and barely translucent but this is quite clear.  Not a problem, actually cooler to see the guts.
 
 

They look stunning and sound very much like my EX1000.

My EX1000 has been tuned.  It doesn't have the treble spike like factory.  What it does beat the 4Ai and 8A and any IEM I've tried in is the massive slam and kick of the bass.  Must be the 16mm driver.

Wood is Unique, that is just the way wood is. Sometimes they will be a touch different....    Just like the SQ of the 4.Ai, the wood is not colored, it is what it is.
 
As far as shell colors go, they will also vary from build batches. That is because each time shells are produced colors are mixed for that batch.   They should match as a pair, but they would not probably match your friends set etc.

i have ordered one 4.Ai set this Wed, and wondering how long i can get them. it seems longer than some custom IEM.....
does anyone could tell me how long you have waited before get the earphone?

yes, i heard the same thing from their staff.
i just want to know the period as i am going to have a trip from next month and it will last almost 4 weeks.
so, i was wondering if i can get them before Oct and use them during the trip.
i found that you got yours recently, do you mind to tell me how long you have waited?

i ordered it on the 5th of aug and receive it yesterday. they shipped out mine on the 31st of aug. 
so i guess most prob u gotta wait at least for another 2-3 weeks
