Weirdly enough, but my wife said she doesn't hear much difference between Abyss AB-1266 TC and her Airpods she is very supportive of my hobby though

But that is wonderful. It's the same with my wife. When I told her last winter that I would like to sell headphones, she just said: Great. If you'd love that then do it. She's great.

to be honest, sometimes i think that i‘m the crazy one and there actually is no big difference… but then i look at my odin, lx and sp2k again and tell myself how well spend the 8k+ are…. i‘d love to listen to the 1266 though…!

Yeah. I am intrigued by the design of Abyss. Never got the chance to try them though.

Regarding hearing a difference. I believe that it takes time and training too. It's like learning something new. Though when I give my wife new headphones or IEMs to try, she can always hear a difference. Yesterday I got a new headphone and let her try it. After a minute she took it off telling me it was too intense and real and she couldn't take it.
