Yes. The mods to the T1 or 006t pretty much turn it into a mini-kgst.

The 717 can also be modified into essentially a kgss classic (not to be confused for kgsshv).

Nice thing about the T1 is many of them have NB jacks and they’re safer choice for the he90 or he60

I received 007 modded and i have t1 modded. I prefere t1 modded over 007 stock

Have either of you tried a Modded T1 with an SR-007 or similarly hard to drive electrostat? I'm thinking down the line i might upgrade from my lambdas.

Also, have you tried a Modded 007T? Im wondering if a Modded 007T does everything a modded T1 does just "more"/"better."

I have not driven a 007 by a modded T1/006t but I don’t personally think the full KGST does 007 justice - so it would be a pass for me.
009, sr-omega v1 and x9000 however would work on mod t1, which I found run really well on a lot of low power amps like the Novem.

I'm thinking about CRBN one day so I guess if im going in that direction a 007T is better?

IMO if you are looking for a Stax amp 717 would be better

Sadly, im looking for a tube amp that I can afford. All the Mjolnir and custom options are outside of my price range.
ah will then 007t or 007tA/II then

The 007 runs much better off SS unless you're pushing into the megatron/T2/GC tier. KGGG/BHSE/Aeras minimum imo.
The KGSSHV (used at $2k~) is a good pairing.

Guys question - got an old lambda that for the most plays fine into the SRD7mk2 but eventually after a few minutes of audio play the left channel loses balance, why is this the case?

For the record, I've checked every other variable in the chain but is it possible that since it plays in balance at all that the trafo is culpable here and not the left driver? It being the driver in this case seems inherently odd, it should surely have the imbalance straight away during play, also tried discharging it.

Any feedback appreciated

How is your opinion of the CCS + 6S4A-modded SRM-007T in comparison to the modded SRM-T1??

I still would not totally count out the 717 previously mentioned. It does quite a good job with my SR-007mk 1 and was Birgir (Spritzer)’s recommendation to optimize the phones in a lesser price range of the custom amps. I have since treated myself to the Eksonic Aeras design by Kerry. If and when that might someday fit for you.

Good luck & enjoy the search,
Joe G

Thanks Chef…….

All good advice. The SR-007’s do ask a bit of the amp and definitely scale nicely.

Time to win a lottery…….,

I am stunned how small Eksonic Aeras looks compared to 717
