You can install the various FM radio apps from Google Play Store and you can enjoy listening to the radio provided wifi is on. I have the A45 and the fm reception is pretty bad indoors. With the apps, it is much better.

Just looking again at these on Amazon. Does anyone know why the RRP is now so high? Listed at £320.
The price has gone down then. I preordered mine with Amazon and it was £400 at launch.
Prices fluctuate on Amazon. I ordered the orange version for £269. I've seen it as high as £320.

Should have said, mine is the 40th Anniversary branded model, and that’s more expensive than the regular one.
hi, not seen anyone else have the same thing happen yet but i updated my eu limited a105 to the 2.00.05 firmware last night and my volume limit seems to be gone.

If the volume cap is really permanently removed it is quite an interesting option ........
It's definitely gone. But let's hope it doesn't come back in a future update.

yes, it is only applied to the wired connection.
I am very interested in this device now that the volume cap seems to be removed. My only concern now is the battery life. Anyone knows if 12 hours realistic when listening to mp3 and flac ?
The A105 does not have a high gain function. High gain is available in the ZX500 which I am not sure if the EU version changes via update or different region firmware. My A105 does not do any beeping and I have the EU version with JP firmware.
Sony have released another update for this device. That's very quick for Sony, I'm half afraid to install it in case it reinstates the EU volume cap. Paranoid, I know, but the unit is virtually useless when capped
I ended up returning my NW-A105 within the return period, and purchasing a different DAP, but unfortunately I had already ordered a case for it. For anyone in the domestic U.S. who owns an NW-A105 and is interested in a clear hard plastic case, I ordered this one from an Amazon seller in China the end of April, and it took almost two months to reach me. This is not a case that is available here in the U.S. I'll USPS Priority Mail it to you for a total of $15 if you're interested.
