The Shenzhen Benjie BJ-T6 / AGPtek Rocker

Instructions for install:

Extract the folder out of rockbox.zip Take the folder out of that named ".rockbox" and put it directly into your sd card. Put update_rb.upt directly into sd card as well, and once in there, rename it to update.upt

Next you'll need to choose the update firmware option in agptek rocker settings. It should upgrade and then you'll have a choice to choose rockbox, the original agptek rocker os and some tools.
FW update is OK but when I choose Rockbox it reads "Can not boot rockbox". What is wrong?
In SD card directory I put update.upt and a folder .rockbox. Shall I put the contents of .rockbox directly to the sd card?

The folder .rockbox should be on the root of the sd card, and everything else inside it. Make sure the zip extracted successfully. When I first did it, I got this error because it didn't extract all the files for some reason (on my mac) went to windows and extracted everything there and it worked.

If that doesn't help you, check the rockbox forums, they might be able to help: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php/topic,51653.30.html

Hello everybody,
Could I get a piece of advice here?
Before rockboxing T6 could play files from 128GB microSD card. I tried 4 different cards of 128GB capacity. None worked. Now it can play them from 32B card. What shall I do?
I don't want to come back. I need rockbox.

I use a 200GB card in mine. It worked with the original T6 firmware, worked with the AGPTEK Rocker firmware, and works with Rockbox. Maybe you need to reformat your cards? Try FAT16 if FAT32 doesn’t work. My 200GB card is formatted FAT32 and never had any issues.

Reformat all of my cards? One 128GB card is FAT32 and still does not work.
What is the FW to reformat to FAT16?

Never mind, you should not format the card to FAT16 (you should only format 4GB or smaller cards to FAT16). Someone on the Rockbox forums mentioned FAT16 (which is why I initially mentioned it) but they actually said that they partitioned rockbox into a FAT16 partition on their FAT32 card. And they were talking about an issue with USB transfer mode on the player while running Rockbox.

I'm not sure what the issue with your cards is. What brand are they? This is the card I'm using: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-200GB-Micro-SDSDQUAN-200G-G4A/dp/B00V62XBQQ/

Maybe try re-formatting one of your 128GB cards to FAT32 with different software, and see if that makes a difference.

Not a perfect fit, but I posted these cases a few pages back in the thread. They're silicone cases for the Zune 4GB/8GB. A little loose at the top (and stretches past the bottom), but it protects the Rocker/T6 from scratches and fingerprints, gives you access to all the ports & buttons (covers the side buttons and SD slot, but since its soft you can still easily press the power and volume buttons, and is easy to peal aside to reach the SD card) and allows you to use clips/arm bands.

I realize I'm quoting my own post, but I mentioned these silicone cases, but recently found one that fits even better. The Sony Walkman NW-E390 Series is almost identical in shape and size to the Rocker/T6, and their silicone cases fit great! All that's needed is to cut a little bit out of the bottom for the headphone jack.

Here are some pictures of the case on my T6
