OK, so the ITT, STC and Philps branded 5A/152M are most likely the same production.
When I got my order from dbtubes I got one branded STC and the rest were ITT. They all had identical construction. Thanks @leftside
So you think ITT and STC each made their own version of the 5A/152M?
I have a matched quad of those ITT / (STC?) coming from dbtubes as well as a quad of the STC D getter version from the UK. Not sure if they will sound different and may all be from the same plant but the D getter version may be earlier production.

OK, did all 4 from db also have a halo getter? When I got my order from dbtubes I got one branded STC and the rest were ITT. They all had identical construction.
I never checked before. The STC branded one does have a D getter, the ITT have the halo. Because I use 4 at a time I haven’t noticed a difference between them sound-wise. It would be tough for anyone to her the difference in one phase of one side of an amp I thinkOK, did all 4 from db also have a halo getter?
I REALLY need you to make me some of these fancy adapters....As suggested by @Isaacc7 , I repost this here for sharing...
Try these tubes if you havent yet.
MAZDA 30L1, 30L15, 30L17, these are all dual triode tubes and use the same adapter.
These were all made by Brimar

MAZDA 6L18, single triode tube. These might be made by Marconi.

...n MULLARD ECL80, a Triode-Pentode tube. Run as twin on Triode section or Strapped Triode on Pentode section..
Shown here are relabeled Lorenz...look for "B" code for Mullard production as Siemens also made this.

lastly, MULLARD ECH42, a Triode-Hexode tube. Again, run as twin on Triode section or Strapped Triode on Hexode section...whichever sound better to you. Again, there are Mullard, TFK, Siemens, Philips, etc....look for code to determine.

Kind Reminder: Always study the datasheet and understand what you are putting onto your amp. I take no responsibility if your amp blew up.
Enjoy and have fun!!!![]()
I have a question related to how you wire these multi-component adapters. The part which is not used is left floating or grounded? Any problems with noise or have you tried different types of wiring to observe differences? Have you tried some variable-mu tubes strapped as triodes and had some results? As suggested by @Isaacc7 , I repost this here for sharing...

Mullard ECL80 triode sections are super lovely.I have a question related to how you wire these multi-component adapters. The part which is not used is left floating or grounded? Anyway congrats, I was looking for some time on ECL/ECH families.
Hope I understand you right. On the ECL/ ECH series, if I only run on the Triode section, I left the other section floating. So far, I have not encountered any unusual noise from RFI. Yes, I have tried Triode strapping on one or two variable-mu tubes...one that comes to mind is KTW61. Again, no issue.I have a question related to how you wire these multi-component adapters.
