Are the Neotron internals similar to the Vissaeux 6J5G?
Similar. But my Visseaux are at least 10 years older as they have the older style foil getter, so hard to tell without finding examples from the same year.

Got some really good looking tubes in yesterday. Was told that they were made by Adzam. Neither the boxes nor the tubes themselves have that name on them but I think the manufacturing codes seem to confirm they were made in Belgium.

I think the T shows which factory it was made in. Not sure about the NH. If it were a GEC tube it would mean it was made in 57. In any case, these are in beautiful shape and look amazing. Will be able to listen to them tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they look like any other brand’s tubes?

Edit: Are these Mullard tubes? Did Mullard ever make a 12j5 or make tubes in Belgium?

The factory code for Brussels is L, which was a Mazada factory. I think Adzam tubes were often made in Belgium, but I'm pretty sure they could come from anywhere in the Philips universe. If T is really the factory code that is Eindhoven, but that doesn't look like a Philips factory code IMO.

First let me be clear that I claim no special authority when it comes to tube taxonomy. FWIW my first impression was they were Mullard as well.

Did you get the tubes from Mullard Magic? I've done business with them myself and found them to be fairly knowledge, but not as knowledgeable as the usual suspects in the this thread, who will probably recognize them definitively.

Military tubes used the same date codes as GEC. So 1957 is correct. The actual tubes look like they were made in the Mullard/Tungsam Tottenham/England factory.

Looks like the 'KB' of 'KB/T' has been rubbed off.

I have one Mullard branded 6J5GT with innards looking as your tube. I have been looking for another and found an ad in Australia with a photo of its' sibling where the seller claimed that it was made in Tottenham. So I agree with leftside, this might be possible. Codes on glass on my tube is TH3 vertically and WM horizontally on metal skirt. Same codes in Australia. Must have been made pre-Philips coding. Early fifties?

Woo! Got these for $6 a piece! Tube Depot doesn’t have any more sadly. Like I said before, there isn’t any branding on either the tubes or boxes so I’m not sure why they thought they were Azdam. I haven’t been able to find any pictures of 6j5gt or 12j5gt with these same markings or associated with Azdam. The boxes were generic government beige boxes with “electronic valve” printed on one end. Think it had cv534 printed as well.

Have subsequently pulled three more out and none of them have anything in front of the ‘T. They are in immaculate condition, don’t think anything has been rubbed off. Here’s the only info on the box.

There’s that T again. Just put them in and will let them burn in for a few days.

Probably, they screened for that right? Better mark them so they don’t get mixed in with the good ones lol.
At least you didn't get the J! Junk.
