From Los Angeles, the bass heavy, electronic of El Ten Eleven is post rock you can dance to. On 'These promises are being videotaped' the tracks 'Fat Gym Riot' and 'Adam and Nathan totally kick ass' are superb.

Cougar and their album Patriot, probably one of the best examples of what post rock is all about..........

Well the recommendations keep coming.......Tristeza and Spine & Sensory, which is the closest to melodic easy listening post rock I can think of.

Really great albums in this thread...  Among my favorite post-rock albums not mentioned are

South Pacific - Constance

Trans Am - Red line

and my favorite math rock album is Slint's Spiderland.  Very heavy but at moments awe inspiring.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor, 'Lift your skinny fists like antennas to heaven' has a really dramatic celtic, orchestral vibe to it.......

Tried Slint, but didn't get into them at all. However, Tera Melos and this EP is superb
