The only other set I’ve tried a second time is the FDX1 to retry the fit.I think Serial will be the first set of IEMs that I stupidly sold, and will buy again soon!
I’m so glad I did with the Serial too! It’d be at the center of a Venn diagram of my main needs.
Thanks. It was your recommendation really that has gotten me into Penon, let alone Serial. Still burning in and will also cable roll as you suggest. Which cable did you use previously for the Serial?Ha, indeed - sounds a fitting description Good to hear you are enjoying Serial!

I was using the Han Sound Nyx with Serial, loved that pairing.

Me reflecting on selling Serial.
Hello to all.
As I said a few days ago, here is my humble opinion on the Penon ORB, an IEMS to be discovered and tasted slowly and calmly.
I hope you like it.

Me reflecting on selling Serial.
Sold my Serials at a good price to a friend who loves them haha
Also returned the Legends due to fit issues but felt those were awesome. Will of course keep an eye on Penon's future offerings

Can anyone tell me why the terminations on those cables aren't flush against the earphone instead of that flat plastic part sticking out? Is that more secure for the pins or something? I think it looks really bad.

Its kind of "normal" when the socket on the IEM isn't recessed. In an ideal situation the socket would be recessed and then the connection would be much more secure. Can anyone tell me why the terminations on those cables aren't flush against the earphone instead of that flat plastic part sticking out? Take a look at the socket on the ie900 for an example of a recessed socket. (MMCX in this case though)

All I'm gonna say is that it's difficult to work on my review of the Rose QT-9 MK2S when the Serial is sitting right there next to it... and the MK2S is an extremely solid earphone!
