No problems after 6 1/2 years near dayli use
I’ve had mine for 3 now. I thank @Redcarmoose and maybe even @nc8000 for leading down the path. Having it with my MDR and IER along with the 1A and 1Z, it’s hard for me to be wowed anything else (MDR-Z7M2 and Focal Clear are exceptions). But thanks to all. So glad I have it, and I even used the TA for gaming on Doom 2016 for my PC. All the music and sound effects were much more crisp and pronounced that I felt more at the edge of my seat than ever before. Pretty awesome.

Built like a Tank, it will last well beyond a decade; My CRT/Trininton NTSC Monitor from sony is still on going, manufactured in 2003.

Has everyone's TA been as bulletproof as mine? Really surprised that these came out more reliable than I expected. Listening with the MDR-Z1R and my Focal Clear at the moment
Got rid of all my solid state amps and keeping the TA. Sounds great with the Utopia and Fostex 909. Also for IEM the Noble Audio Kublai Khan is phenomenal out of the 4.4mm balanced connector.

Nice set up. Just the TA and MDR-Z1R (IER-Z1R and XBA-Z5 in the drawer).

The DAC in the Taz is often overlooked but it shouldn't be!

Where can I get such a cover /stand above the TAZ?

It is the 2 stands from a monitor stand flipped over with a piece of 7mm perepex. I have shelves above with a plant on it so want to have peace of mind it will have some protection.

Has anyone here paired the Taz with the HIFIMAN HE1000 V2 Stealth? They're currently on a massive special, selling for $1,369, I always wanted the HEKs but $3,000 no way.

TA-ZH1ES power: 1.2 / 32Ω
Hifiman HE1000V2 Stealth: 32Ω / Sensitivity 93 dB

I do with a regular v2. It has enough power to drive them and sound amazing but if I compared to my WA5 it lacks a bit on bass slam.

Hey guys. Slightly off topic but do any of the Sony Android based Walkman products share the same sound signature and sound quality as the TAZ? Also which ones can be used as a transport / streamer connected to my external DAC over OTG USB? Thanks.

I see you use an xlr-4.4 adapter, obvs the same issue as the Dunu won't quite insert comfortably !
The Dunu plug inserts fully without any problems in the 4.4 output, I just have 2 headphones terminated to 4.4 so need 2 4.4 outputs in order to have them both connected at the same time

And the IER-Z1R is in the bottom left corner 😍
