Glad to hear that everything worked out so well. Just wait until your brain acclimates to the Z1R. If your experience goes like many owners here, the Z1R will start to really shine for you a little more each day until you finally have a fully attuned sense of what they are about. I know for me I liked them at first, but quickly grew to really love their signature and overall yumminess.

No the outer cardboard box came in white bag and then inner semi leather box came in black bag. I think they went above and beyond to ship it properly

Any MDR Z1R owners tried XBA-N3AP? I love that IEM. If the sound sig is similar, I might buy ZR1 as well. Sadly Sony Stores here don't let me demo Z1R, closed box sale only.

Anyone NOT have this specific thread in their "unread subscribed" section when the switch happened?? Or was it just me? I had to search 2 pages for it. I had a moment like- "wait a minute, where is the Z1R thread??"

The WM1A drives the Z1r just perfect with lots of headroom for me. So should the WM1Z as they share the most parts of the amp section. But if you are inside the EU, you need to uncap the player. Else it would be not loud enough.

If I lost a thread or two, I don't know. If so they did not interest me anymore anyways.
