I'm going with the Sox in 6. A lot of people are saying the Sox are emotionally drained, and that will be their downfall; I disagree. They thrive on emotion, and are a tight-knit bunch of guys who are relentless. St. Louis is a great team as well, but I think La Russa will be their liability (over-management). Looks like another week of no sleep, antacids, and anti-anxiety meds.

Go Sox!

OK. Cards in seven. just like '67.

I'm not sure about pitching Wakefield in game one.
He is the kind of pitcher that is good to throw in a game two or three
to keep the opponent off balance.

The cards can play good small ball.
That might be a factor when the Big Shill plays.

It's baseball pinky.
You know how we delusional yanks are across the pond.
We think that our sports are worthy of a "world title" status.
Don't mind us.

Is that like Red Socks, Redd Soxx, Read Sox, or even Redd Foxx?

Boston area resident here, so naturally I go for the Sox. "Bandwagon Fan" admittedly, but that NY series was VERY exciting. Even my wife, who doesn't know football from hockey from baseball (from cricket, for you Pink Floyd), said it was a super game 7 for the Red Sox & Yankees.

I think the Sox in 6. From what I've heard, St Louis has great hitting, but their pitching isn't as good.

Lots of luck to both teams, though, I hope they each bring their best game.

Ciao,

Apt description for tonight's game thus far. Ouch.

How about Red "Sucks?"

Sorry, that's the NYC in me. Actually I'm rooting for either team, since I'm really a Phillies guy - we have francona and shill versus Rolen. GO PHILS!

The cards made a nice comeback but the sox in the end pulled it off with the long ball.

I hope there is more pitching tomorrow.

It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win.
