I must say, I love that those fold flat. That's such a great feature for lugging cans to meets or traveling.

I think theyre 250 Ohms, so at the very least the voice coil is different from the KSC75.

Wouldn't that be something if we could just go to rat shack and demo them off the display board?

Hmm... The (typical) koss house sound is forward mids, slight lower midrange recession, deep impactfull bass, 250 ohms, coiled one sided cord, gold screw on adapter... Sounds like a DT990.

Eh? Distortion of .1 is in line with the top of the line Sennheisers (from their spec sheets) and lower than the spec of the Beyers (0.2). From the measurements, they all actually measure better than their specs indicate.

I just think anything with those pads feel awful. They just get greasy and disgusting really quickly, and in no way do I find them comfortable. I'd take the awful Grado bowl comfortability over these Koss ones anyday.

Any idea whether either MV1 or PRO4AAAAAAAA... is significantly lighter than PRO4AAT? I'd be willing to take the plunge if they are under 300 g.

They certainly look significantly lighter. Looks very Beyer. Also that hold-a-phone thing in TempestX first shortcut looks very cool!

I got them for my review in June's Tone Audio to compare to the ones from the '70's and the article will be available next week. The sound is best described as veiled. I have behind the head ear buds that sound better in the same price range (<$100). They are beautifully built and look georgeous to look at, but they sound....how do you say?,,,,feh!
