I won't buy without an extensive audition at home. I might wait until Ultima DAC is available for that demo.

Me too, I'm not dealing with any issues either. My money will stay where it is, the system sounds great as it is now.

Ultima DAC is likely to be 18 months+ after QMS, so I expect it will be fine.

At least while i wait for Quartet, i can keep enjoying my current Choral scaler design for another year

Im not going to let CNC a v2 for myself and stick with squared button caving.

I am about to start a new thread for a Choral battery supply for Dave as i have a circuit and PCB design almost ready.

its been said that due to massive effort being put into the quartet power supply the quality of the bnc cables is not important. sounds like plug and play to me. whether i can afford it or whether i want to vs my mtt2 sounding holographic and moving is another question all together.

problem is the mscaler +tt2 is already so so extremely good sounding, that the new scaler, propably just sound a tad better... but at what cost.

it will sound much better for sure. i can say at 1m vs 4m taps that means the quartet will be 4 times more accurate than the mscaler. its hard to project forwards as to how that will actually sound but im sure we are in for something special. imho i dont think its designed to compete directly with the mscaler but just offer a much higher spec'd product with a different level of performance. mojo 2 is excellent and so is tt2 as an example.

I predict QMS will exchange the magnifying glass of HMS with a microscope showing the quality and integrity of your source.
Making good recordings magnificently real sounding and bad DSP'ed recordings horribly evident. (but enjoyable none the less as you just hear the truth)

But much better on this level of hifi is always so extremely exaggerated… they said between qutest to tt2, to dave (I owned them all) the differences are huge, but in practice/fact, every time a little better, but small nonetheless.

Is that a bad thing, no! Because it only says they are already good to begin with.

But it always makes me laugh when they talk about huge differences in hifi.
