Yes
Official grams on website, but they are indeed much lighter than all the other LCD. I could not game or have the LCD2 on my head for long, I got neck fatigue.
The LCD GX is heavier than other gaming headsets (its still an audiophile LCD headphone at its base platform) but its very doable. I can and have gone 3-4 hours in Apex, Payday, with it no issues.
How would you say they differ in terms of sound? I imagine them being a more V-shaped headphone with a little more air.
More airy sounding and slightly thinner than the LCD2 and most others on the market. Its definitely trimmed some of the fat in regards to full on detail, timbre, texture and the thicccc sensation of some of the notes on the higher tier LCDs in exchange for a forward active sound with good tonal balance.
It's not overly bassy, its not overly mid centric, its pretty much center field in a lot of ways.
Mic quality (with the EVGA Nu audio interface) is superb. Very comparable to my Super Cardiod microphone I use for camera reviews (its the Deity D3 Pro, akin in quality to the Rhode Video Mic Pro)
It will come with the headset, standard braided LCD cable with quarter inch termination, new LCD GX thinner cable with mic boom on left termination going out to a 3 prong jack (for laptops/phones) and will come with a splitter adapter that splits that 3 prong jack in the 2 plugs for use with desktop PCs.
I have it paired right now with a Ryzen 3700X setup and a Red Devil 5700XT is on the way. Mic input and audio output is from the EVGA Nu that Audeze sent with it.
Please keep a look out on Headphone.Guru's facebook page and website for more updates on the GX.
